Previous results
Bring the results of any tests and examinations you have had before.
Medication list
Write down the names and doses of all the medications you take and bring the list with you.
Bladder
If possible, come to your appointment with a full bladder — or at least a partly full one: this makes the ultrasound examination more accurate. If holding your urine is difficult or painful, do not force yourself. In most cases you do not need to come on an empty stomach; if the doctor has recommended specific preparation, please follow it.
Emergencies
If you have a high fever, severe pain or blood in the urine, or if you are unable to pass urine, seek emergency care immediately.
