Technical equipment
Below are the surgical and diagnostic methods the doctor uses. Which method is chosen depends on the patient’s clinical situation and is decided after an examination.
Da Vinci Xi robotic system
A magnified three-dimensional view and instruments with a wider range of motion than the human wrist. Used in prostate, kidney and bladder surgery.
Laparoscopic surgery
Keyhole surgery through small incisions — kidney tumor resection, radical nephrectomy, radical prostatectomy and reconstructive operations.
Flexible ureterorenoscopy (RIRS)
Kidney stone surgery without incisions — the stone is removed through the urinary tract with a flexible instrument.
Holmium laser (HoLEP)
Complete removal of enlarged prostate tissue with a laser, without incisions. The removed tissue is sent for histological examination.
Cystoscopy and urological diagnostics
Direct endoscopic examination of the urethra and bladder; when needed, contrast imaging with retrograde urography.
Imaging and laboratory support
Ultrasound, computed tomography (CT) and MRI — including MRI–ultrasound fusion biopsy when prostate findings are suspicious.
