Before your appointment
Your documents
Bring the results of any previous laboratory tests, ultrasound, CT or MRI scans and other examinations with you.
Your medications
Write down the names and doses of all the medications you take — including herbal supplements — and bring the list with you.
Your bladder
If possible, come to your appointment with a full — or at least partly full — bladder: this makes the ultrasound examination more accurate. If holding your urine is difficult or painful, do not force yourself. In most cases you do not need to come on an empty stomach; if the doctor has recommended specific preparation, please follow it.
