Guiding principles
Wherever possible, minimally invasive methods — endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery — are preferred. Decisions are based on the patient’s age, coexisting conditions and clinical findings.
In tumor surgery, an organ-sparing approach is preferred whenever possible. In robot-assisted operations, 3D visualization and precision of movement create the potential for less blood loss and faster recovery.
