Accessibility statement
This website has been built to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The aim is for the website to work for users with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive differences as well.
Available features
- Text size. Use the accessibility button (top right on desktop, bottom left on phones) to make text larger or smaller, from 90% to 150%; headings and body text change together. Your settings are remembered on this device.
- High-contrast mode. From the same panel, you can switch on a black-and-white high-contrast mode.
- Line and letter spacing. The same panel lets you increase line, letter and word spacing, which makes long texts easier to read.
- Link highlighting. All links get a thick underline and a background colour, so they stand out clearly from normal text.
- Stopping animations. All animations and transition effects on the page are switched off.
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements can be reached with the Tab key, and the focus outline is clearly visible on both light and dark backgrounds. Menus and dialogs close with the Escape key.
- Enlarging photos. Open any photo at a larger size by clicking it, or by selecting it with Tab and pressing Enter. Use the left/right arrow keys to move between photos; Escape closes the viewer.
- Skip links. At the top of the page there are “Skip to main content”, “Skip to navigation” and “Skip to footer” links.
- Semantic structure. Headings follow a clear hierarchy, lists and sections are built with semantic HTML, and accordions use ARIA attributes.
- Reduced motion. If the “reduce motion” setting is turned on in your system, animations are switched off automatically.
- Font. All letters of the Azerbaijani alphabet — including the characters specific to it — are displayed correctly.
