Rufat Asadbeyli’s professional path from Azerbaijan to Germany
Yes, it’s true that I was born in Ganja and grew up in Ganja. Then, in 1992, I was admitted to Azerbaijan Medical University through the first entrance tests, and in 1998 I graduated from Azerbaijan Medical University with an honors diploma.
After that I realized that there were shortcomings in Azerbaijan — there were gaps. And I decided to go to Germany to fill these gaps and gain this experience. So I submitted my documents.
At that time there was a wonderful program — it’s called DAAD. They award scholarships to doctors and academics here, and that is how I was awarded a scholarship. After that I went to Germany on that scholarship.
There they even organized German language courses for us. And after that my medical career began in Germany.
